  • SELF DISCIPLINE - A section of the syllabus is taught at class each week, requiring students to maintain concentration in order to retain previously taught work.

Emotional

  • TEAM SPIRIT - From age 7, girls have the opportunity to compete in team events, where they learn about the importance of commitment whilst experiencing the feeling of pride and team spirit.

  • FRIENDSHIP - The Club attracts members from many surrounding suburbs which broadens friendship circles. Family-friendly events are scheduled throughout the year to further develop our repuation as a very social and friendly physi club.

  • REWARD & RECOGNITION - In 2008, club members received club tights, a back-pack and drink bottle in recogintion of their hard work throughout the year.  At the Annual Club Performance & Awards Night, members also received an official school medal and certificate.  Individual achievements are also recognised throughout the season, as is excellent attendance.

Competition & Performance

  • The Club accepts invitations to attend Interclub Competitions and Gala Days giving members the opportunity to perform their routine to an audience and in doing so increasing confidence and self-belief.

  • Official Edith Parsons School competitions are also scheduled towards the end of the season for girls to perform in both team and/or individual events.  Members compete against girls from all over NSW with the opportunity to be selected at State level.  Many friendships are formed at these events and girls look forward to seeing their new friends at each competition.

  • Presentation is another aspect of performing and girls are taught about grooming and expected to take pride in their personal appearance.
